Thank you for replying, i have cyberghost installed on my PC ( no cell phone) , i am a senior and not good with tech stuff can i download cyberghost onto a USB stick and run it off that on my buzz box ? If not can i install it from the USB stick onto my buzz i prefer not to put cyberghost onto my router as i change location every time i boot my PC, not sure if this is part of problem but also buzz ox did an update about 3 weeks ago and ever since i can not record anything it records for 10 mins then stops but maybe that is because of the issues we are having?

home screen/all apps/app installer
select the drive and install the app you want

No freezing here at all. There is some blocking by some ISP in Canada (not all - I have customers who are not affected by the blocking), but with VPN (windscribe, connected to New York server), it is unblocked and ROCK solid.
Obviously an issue with your internal network or ISP routing causing your glitches.

i have tried from BOTH browsers (chrome, Firefox) located on my Z+neo (box) tried to install protonvpn that way.. all it did was go to the proton page and i tried to install (download) but it didnt
I then i downloaded the proton APK from Git*ub and F-*roid

-Name the USB apks
-plug in the box
-restart the box and it SHOULD start the APK download screen..............Mine does not do that.
When i search for the APK in the file manager its not located
now the channels are going away

Copy the file: ProtonVPN-5.6.38.0.605063800.-production-vanilla-direct-release.apk from your PC to a USB stick ? Ensuring to keep the .apk extension ?

Remove stick from your PC, then Insert USB stick into your box, And you launch "file manager", browse to your USB stick, and you do NOT see the ProtonVPN-5.6.38.0.605063800.-production-vanilla-direct-release.apk file ?

You should be able to see the file at least.

UNFORTUNATELY it will NOT install on your box even if it could see it. Your Z+neo is an older budget box which only has 1GB or RAM and if I recall, is running Android 7. The Proton VPN app requires Android 8 or above to be installed. This would also explain why you do not see it in the play store, since it filters apps that are not compatible with your OS.

You can always try Windscribe. Their app can be installed on Android 5+. If you sign up for an account, you get 2GB/month to be able to test it. Add your email address and get 10GB. Sure it si not much, but it 10GB should last you for a few hours of testing.

Unfortunately your box is running an older version of Android, and ProtonVPN is just not compatible.

PS: Considering your box only has a very limited 1GB of RAM from what I noticed, running a VPN in the background "MAY" be a little more than it can handle. Hence it is a good idea to try something out first before buying anything.


PLEASE NOTE: This is the last reply for this issue. If you need more support getting a VPN for your box, please post in the appropriate hardware section for your box. For wicked at the moment, you "may" need a VPN to unblock channels. We will not solve all VPN installation issues in this thread.
