The key here is that it is ONLY the 1080 channels. The ones streaming in 720 are fine.
I tried it on my Classic (wired connection) (CA: Sportsnet EAST, CA: Sportsnet EAST B, CA: Sportsnet Pacific) and they all microfreeze (video only).
Sportnet Ontario is 720 feed and has no such issues.

I tried switching to Backup player, TS streaming format, etc.. And some combinations are worse than others.

I would have liked to try directly on the NHL channels, but even though both the NHL Arizona and Boston channels EPG shows the game, the stream is not there.

Watching CAN: SPORTSNET EAST (Calgary vs New Jersey right now), and I still get the occasional freeze (every minute or 2). Tried with 2 different VPN and different locations and no difference.

Doesn't bother me (since I am not a sports fan) but on My Classic, wired, 5.0.906, with or without VPN I can reproduce it. It's watchable, but I can see how it can become annoying watching a whole game.

Surprised the NHL channels (even though the matches are listed in the EPG), are not streaming the game. With the new game (NJ and Calgary, it is on the EPG, but stream still says "CHANNEL LIVE EVENT WHEN EVENT AIRING".

Seems to be only sportsnet, because watching USA: ESPN 2 FHD 1080 is flawless.

PS: I do get periods of 4 or 5 minutes where it is flawless, but then it will glitch.

could be frame rate settings cause I've only experienced 2 video freezes and no audio freezing after watching 2 periods so far

As per Emporium feedback, I experienced the same occasional freeze when watching the Boston vs Phoenix game on Can:sportsnet Pacific and same channel under the premium sports section

The east feed for me was much more solid.

I turned on both real time streaming and tunnel feedback on the buzz with no improvement on the occasional freeze, not even sure what those 2 options actually do.

I have had the same experience last week with sportsnet channels, checked a different server and it did the same thing. They must have a common source.

Earlier tonight (about an hour ago) I was getting really slow channel changes and the 2 Pluto Channels I have in my favorites, were not working.

Haven't checked right now.

Getting Error 502 when trying to tune channels, friend saying they can't get past the authentication stage on connection either. Nobody else commenting but me so far so I'm not sure what's up.. getting it here too at the moment

TSN4 is freezing up, but TSN 5 is playing the same game and it is flawless so far. And don't forget you have the NFL category and you can watch the same game on the NFL DALLAS or NFL PHILLI channel if you have to.

Are Pluto channels down on wicked ?

I typically use Pluto_US: This old house and Pluto_US: Americas test Kitchen, and both are not working. I spot checked some other Pluto-CA/US and UK channels and none are working. I think they are on-demand, so they can take a few secs to get started streaming, but right now, I can't get any to stream.

And I know the Pluto service is fine, since if I switch to my dedicated Pluto M3U list, all the channels work just fine.

Further update tonight :

We are still getting the occasional video micro freeze on sportsnet west and sportsnet pacific in both the CA: and Premium Sports section while watching the Leafs vs Islanders game.

I have changed a number of settings and directed the vpn connection to different countries with no improvement in the micro freezes.

This has also been brought to my attention by a number of end users who are experiment the same result.

It is watchable in the lower resolution channels tonight .

Strange thing, absolutely no freezes on the commercials whatsoever. Smooth as a nice clean sheet of ice

im seeing some frames missing in the log and watching the stream from source without the frames missing so i suspect packet loss or corrupt im sending a message of to host to look at the network
