new wicked iptv server is up for testing

Just a little heads up for those using some buzz boxes (possibly others).

On my U5, I was going through my "favorites" and saw many streams were not working. Found it odd, since they worked on my other boxes. Then I realized that the channel list was not updated (guess it was cached and did not trigger a refresh), since I noticed a channel in one of the categories that I know was dropped. Did a "refresh" from the menu, and all the streams now work.

So if you have a lot of streams that are not streaming, ensure to do a refresh before assuming it is the server.


BTW: Not a big deal considering all the previous instabilities, but "CA: Cooking channel" is streaming the "US: Cooking channel" stream.

Quick question, I'm running a XRS4900 and want to take my old XPL3000 on a trip. Can both boxes work at the same time or only one?

default wicked sub is up to 2 connections. So as long as both boxes are just streaming, then 2 boxes simultaneously is not an issue. Unless one box is set to watch and record (which would be 2 connections on that one box), you should be good.

not using mac server option though

So two is good but just streaming to use both.....no recording.
No MAC so I'll go XC API

I didn't know watching and recording count as 2 connections. :noidea: Thanks for the info.

Just got on tonight to see how things were going and see that live tv (hallmark channels, Fox news and a few others) and TV series (Blue healer) are buffering quite a bit.
Running Classic over starlink as well as over local isp which both look clean.
Checked both auto and hls for format
Checked primary and backup

Is the system still having some issues?

Checked hallmark channels each for 2 minutes under the USA full Hd category and everyone was solid .
Foxnews under the same categories rock solid.
