Duncan Keith I`m guessing is going to get 3-5 games for his intentional elbow headshot on Daniel Sedin. While it was a little shot at retribution for an earlier shoulder to the head of Keith by Sedin this kind of hit was blatantly of the predatory type...just the very kind of hit they are trying to eliminate from hockey. Keith has no priors and just kinda lost it I`m guessing..although I don`t excuse him in the least because you still have to be held responsible for your actions. All be it the Sedins are pretty much made of glass and any direct hit will cause drastic results...there is no excuse that Keith could give for his actions in my view. He`ll get 3-5 for hitting Sedin......................now had he hit Burrows the same?the NHL players would be throwing him a parade.LMAO

Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin will not play tonight against the Dallas Stars after leaving Wednesday night's game against the Chicago Blackhawks early with a head injury.
The Canucks are flying Sedin back to Vancouver today so that the forward can see a specialist and get treatment.
Sedin was injured in the first period of last night's game, when Blackhawks defenceman Duncan Keith elbowed him in the head in open ice.
There's been no firm diagnosis of Sedin from the Canucks yet, and it could be a while before there is one since it's not uncommon for it take 48 to 72 hours after being hit in the head for potential onset of symptoms.
In the meantime, given the value of the player to the Canucks, they are erring on the side of caution. He can see a neurological specialists in Vancouver but also get soft tissue (ART) and chiropractic treatment which is essential for any potential concussion to separate brain trauma symptoms from skeletal or soft tissue related symptoms. That procedure was part of Penguins centre Sidney Crosby's concussion treatment.
As for Keith, the NHL has contacted the Blackhawks to indicate there's going to be a disciplinary hearing but the time has not been set and there isn't a big sense of urgency since Chicago doesn't play until Sunday. The NHL will want to get a full medical report on Sedin before proceeding.
It is likely that the hearing will be held over the phone, which means the suspension won't be more than five games. An in-person hearing would be required to suspend Keith for longer than five games.
