ALL JAZZ STARTERS HIT DOUBLE FIGURES IN WIN OVER T-WOLVES

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Deron Williams led five starters in double figures with 21 points to go along with 12 assists, as Utah edged Minnesota, 107-103, at Target Center.
The win came despite Minnesota's Kevin Love finishing one assist shy of becoming the youngest Timberwolves player to post a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.
Ronnie Brewer posted 20 points, Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer added 16 apiece, with the latter also grabbing 12 rebounds, and CJ Miles added 13 points for the Jazz, who have won two straight.
Al Jefferson led Minnesota with 21 points to go along with nine rebounds, while Wayne Ellington chipped in with 13 points off the bench. Minnesota saw its first two-game winning streak of the season come to an end.
Not, however, without a game effort in the final minutes. Trailing 103-90 with just over three minutes left, Corey Brewer started a nine-point effort with a layup. Love did the rest with seven straight points, including the third of four treys for a 103-99 game with one minute to go.
Ronnie Brewer converted on a reverse slam before Love drained another three, pulling the Timberwolves within 105-102 with 37.6 seconds left. Williams made 2-of-4 free throws down the stretch to keep the Timberwolves at arm's length.
Utah led 27-24 after one period then trailed 47-46 at the half before pulling out to a double-digit edge in the third. A 9-1 run capped by a Williams three started the second half, moving the Jazz in front 55-48. The lead grew to 15 points at 73-58 on back-to-back Okur threes and a Miles slam. Utah led 79-69 after three quarters.
GAME NOTES:
Utah shot 45.7 percent from the floor and made 7-of-16 from beyond the arc...Minnesota made 52.6 percent of its shots, but allowed the Jazz to grab 14 offensive rebounds and attempt 14 more shots...Minnesota had won three straight over the Jazz entering Wednesday's contest.
