DURANT, THUNDER PULL AWAY FROM WIZARDS

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Kevin Durant led all scorers with 35 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, as the Oklahoma City Thunder claimed a 110-98 decision over the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center.
Jeff Green added 18 points and Russell Westbrook donated 11 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds for the Thunder, who have won four straight. James Harden ended with 11 points for Oklahoma City, which shot 54.4 percent from the field and 10-of-18 from three-point range.
Antawn Jamison had a team-high 28 points, while Gilbert Arenas went for 24 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for Washington, which has lost three straight and 10 of its last 13 games.
Brendan Haywood finished with 16 points and eight boards for the Wizards, who made 40.2 percent of their shots and 8-of-18 from beyond the arc.
With the score deadlocked at 76 at the end of three quarters, neither team was able to pull away in the fourth, but Eric Maynor's layup with 7:43 to play put the Thunder ahead 91-90 and they would never relinquish the lead.
Oklahoma City outscored Washington 21-8 in the remaining time on the clock as the Thunder had their way with things down the stretch.
Oklahoma City held a 30-25 lead after the opening quarter, but the Wizards would turn the tables on the Thunder in the second and grab a 55-53 lead at the break.
Things remained tight for the entire third quarter. Jamison's three with nearly 2 1/2 minutes remaining put the Wizards up by five, 74-69, but Durant and Nenad Krstic each hit a jumper to make it a one-point contest.
After an exchange of baskets, Harden made 1-of-2 two from the stripe in the final five seconds to tie the game at 76-76 at the end of three quarters.
Game Notes: Oklahoma City defeated Washington, 127-108, on November 20 this season at the Ford Center...The Thunder had lost six straight at Washington.
