I don't think he was in the Army, anyone stupid enough to pick up that young of a bear cub, in the woods, wouldn't pass their entrance exam, they would get stuck at the "Spell your name" question.

The only thing "tough" about him will be when Momma bear passes him out her back side in a few days, she might have to grunt a bit.
