[I found HD04 the next day. I am adding this link (https://secure.connect.pbs.org/conferences/technology/2009/Presentations/830_HDBeyond_All_Generalvs1_Final.pdf) that details the PBS feeds]

Just got my 1 meter dish back up and pointed at PBS. I am pleasantly surprised to have a great signal. (must be the INVACOM QPH-031). But I get no channels on 12150.

Coolsat 8000HD settings are:

12150H
14.029 MB/S
DVB-S QPSK
FEC 3/4

I have everything else I expected, although I am bummed that Montana went to DVB-S2.

Suggestions appreciated.

The PBS HD channels on 125W (Channel 04) are on 12140 V, S/R 30000 FEC 3/4.

Yes, thanks. But there are two others -- HD03 and HD04.

HD03 is 12180/30000/3-4. Some receivers have a problem with these two because the SID is 03 for both. (Same as HD01)

There is frequent programming on HD03. It may be that HD04 is gone because there was apparently little use for it.

Take a look at lyingsat, the 12140 TP has the only channels marked as 3 and 4, 3 is PBS HD East, 4 is PBS HD West.

I don't remember when/if they moved the others.

Look a little more carefully.

On 12180V SID 03, VPID 49, APID 52 is HD03.
12150H has a bitrate of 14029 -- that's HD04. (and, again, SID 03, VPID 49, APID 52)

Easy to see why some receivers cannot handle them all. On some of mine, if I scan 12180 after I have scanned 12140; HD01 disappears -- or more precisely is over-written.

Anyway, my original problem is still that I can find no program on a good sig on 12150.

I see zip on TP 12150H, I don't get an indication of any type of signal.

Nor do I see 12150 listed on any of the sat info sites as an active transponder, only a PBS feed.

I got the attached from PBS when they were in the process of moving from AMC-9 to AMC-21 in 2009. The hen scratches are mine. :)

If I may -- you seem intent on educating me. However generous your intentions may be, it is not necessary.

Sorry, old habit, taught engineering way back when the Earth was young. (Again my fault)

If I read your document correctly, it shows that Ku transponder 23 (you marked as 12150) is an HD feed, normally feed transponders are not always active 24/7-365.

This is more then likely the reason you not getting a signal ("Q" reading) on it.

PBS shows a slate when there is no program running. Clock, Channel identifier, Sometimes black background/sometimes bars.

It's coming back to me now. HD04 would run promo reels, special early feeds of shows, and -- during fundraising -- shows without pledge breaks. But it is like catching a wild feed. 'Cause it is. :)

Get a DVB-S2 box and you can pull in two channels of Oklahoma PBS.

What type of stb's are you using? I have a spare 3ft dish I might setup.

It was cold and dark outside when I posted so I did more talking than investigation. It's a new day. I was outside dressing the cables properly. On a whim I glanced at the LNB skew. Yesterday's 42º looked more like 30º today. I gave the LNB a highly-accurate 12º nudge and here it is -->
