I have had my motor for a couple years now and all is running good , but lateley i have noticed if I have a higher Q on 82 w I loose almost all of Q on the other end
129W Q will be too low ,I have tried adjusting up/down elevation since its not the back and forth movement thats wrong its the elev. that seems to be thrown off
at one point the Q on both ends were great , but something has thrown it off ?..I am using a Viewsat Max HD for my usuals .I am thinking something has moved ever so slightly over time ...so as it is i have to adjust elevation for 82 Q as 59 or 60 in order to get 50 or 55% on the 129 . I am running the invacom lnb .. as for the others on the top of arc ..eg 110 and 119 they are both around 90% Q ... any suggestions would be great . thanks and have a great Saturday

Had a similiar problem, high signal on bv and low on dn. I took the base of the motor mount where it fastened to the pole and slightly shifted one side up. The side that was going to dn I was able to raise. Worked great! In the high 90's from 61.5 to 148.

Definitely sounds like an elevation problem. Before you actually attempt to play with that try skewing your lnb first.

Skew the invacom ?..twist back and forth is what you mean , because there isnt much throat on that lnb

you are saying move the foot of the dish ?. i have mine mounted on a 6 by 6 wooden post , so perhaps remove the base screws and adjust it from there ?

That would work but try the lnb first, back and forth and in and out.

ok Costactc , its a nice day here today , i will climb the ladder and adjust it I am just wondering if i should reset the reciever and also reset the motor at Zero position before i move anything .my south most bird is 82 w , I remmember 2 yrs back everything was bang on but somthin must have slipped , one thing i did notice today is the mast post where the 4 bolts connect to motor , is squished ..and not perfectly round anymore , i wonder if this could be the culprit .and how i would go about bringining the mast back to original shape ..not squished .

Had a horrible day today attempting to fix this , ended up overtightening motor bolts that attach to mast and now it wont rotate properly ..grrrrr. everytime i lined up 82 w i got 85 + Q .. but as soon as i drove motor to the west 119 and 129 dropped to 15 .I wonder if the deck has shifted some over the past couple years . i checked main post and all is about 1 degree off . I am re thinking , perhaps i should buy a galvanized 1, 5/8 and jam it in the ground and start fresh

Mounting a dish and motor on a wooden beam is not a good idea, as the wood ages it will move, warp and shrink, and the mounting bolts/lag screws can come loose, it would be better to use a steel post set in concrete, less problems with the base moving with time. JMHO
A piece of 1 1/2" rigid conduit works wonders, if your motor will fit a 2" or larger pipe the use the 2" rigid conduit, that stuff wont bend, and it's galvanized for outdoor use.

I am back with happy results .. I took everything appart today and re plumbed setup and had to shim the foot of dish to get 100% plumb all the way around .. now i am back up at 80% from 61.5 to 129 W . only birds that seem abit weak were 97w galaxy at about 60% . thanks for your support

I realized this today as i was removing a few foot screws holding the mast in place , one of them was rusted and snapped in half .. I think the pole idea would be the best , just need it high enough to clear the fence and giant trees in the way

thanks .. I got 87% Q on 82w through 119w but it drops slightly at 129w to 75Q .. should i be concerned that it should be higher . or just leave it as is .

It should be slightly higher then 75% but if it aint broke then don't fix it.
