ok this maybe a dumb question, but if you have all the birds you want saved for your motor on your receiver, then if you swap out the receiver for another one, do you have to go outside and re-find all those birds again ? or is there a way to save those settings for easy transfer ?

different receivers have diff. capabilities and diff. menu.....
what is saved in one receiver is good for that one only.

good news is that you shouldn't have to move the dish itself... before you swap out the box, move the motor to your True South bird (0*) and then swap out the boxes, and start already on your TS bird, and move the dish to each bird, relock into the box, and save....and scan each one as you go ...hope this helps..

Why not use USALS instead ? Just go into antenna settings , enter your long/lat , specify usals and , seeing that the dish/motor is already setup , the dish will move to the sat ( and all other ones available from your location) in question.

so if ive set my motor to my true south, all i have to do is plug in my coordinates with usals and each bird will come in ?

All you have to do is drive it completely south, select a sat/usals/enter your position and you should be all set .

you say "select a sat".... you mean as in find one by going outside and move the dish or select one from the list in set-up ?
