blue ray wifi

guys don't know much about blue ray, but setting up a system for a friend. I have a nanosat, but wondering if blue ray can pickup a open wifi network? and if so can I use it for my nanosat? rather than purchase a ddwrt router? perhaps a usb adapter to blue ray for extended signal? just curious, like I said don't know much about blue rays.

A Blu Ray player won't be able to act as a wireless bridge. Most players do have network interfaces in them, for the purpose of accessing web/network content though.
