Freezing and speeds

hi Guys

I am thinking my ISP is the reason for my STB's frezzing as I have several different brands of receivers running different IKS solutions however I am not real comp literate my ISP says my speeds are fine however I have never had this problem with other ISP's here are the numbers from speedtest.ca down 17.70 and up .93 I am thinking maybe my CW's are not getting there on time any help would be appreceated

If that's mbps with 17.70 that's really fast. Mine runs about 2.75 mbps and does fine. Try speedtest .net and see what you come up with.

Internet speed isn't a factor because the packets are very small. Consider that IKS will work very well at dial up speeds. Latency can cause problems though. Problems in the home network are more common. Do you have any network conflicts with mac addresses?

It was speedtest that I used so i guess I was wrong that it was the speeds LOL

Say what LOL Mac has a restraining order against me so I don't have his address LOL and I have no and I mean no idea what Latency is I have my STB`s connected directly to the router none are done wirelessly if that`s what you ment by network issues I may need some spoon feeding

Latency is the time lag or delay that data has traveling from point to point. You can have high speed but still have latency. Think of it as stopping at a traffic light on a highway. You can use tools like ping and traceroute to check the latency of your connection with the server.
