hello guys, got an issue at a buddies place, he has sats 118/119, 110, 15W, 40.5W(c-band) and 97W total 5 sats.. irds are openbox s10, and limesat.

i have 2 disq and 2 - 22khz switches, which i found were giving me issues if both receivers were on at the same time.. all lnb's are standard lnb, except 119/118, even the cband lnd is dual.. i had to remove the 22khz from one of the irds to help with the issues, not getting any signal.. now i have read in a few posts, that the sats n wiring should be grounded.. i know the catv should be grounded, but i have never grounded the sats ever.. bad habbit i guess.. i have tried cheap to better disq switches(Chieta) n the 22khz switches are ecoda or Chieta, buts still have issues.

any ideas what might be my issues?

thanks

You already found your answer. What little ground you are getting is coming from the connections at the receivers and dish. It's not enough to operate the switching properly.

really eh, so grounding is whats causing this issue.. thanks for the confirming that.. so do i have to ground all dishes n wires, or just get the main lines grounded on the 2.4ghz block..

Where ever possible, you should ground the switches as well.

so i figue to ground the switches n install a ground block on the feed going to the receiver. what do you guys do, if there is no proper ground where your sats are installed..
is it good to have the dishes grounded through as well?
