my cousin has 3 bev irds subbed and pro-installed.
not sure of what switch(es) is used. i will have to drive up and see for myself.
also not sure if he has 91 only or 91 along with 82.

he also has 118+119 working on dreambox 500s with nfps.

he wants to have bev+dish working on dm500s while keeping all 3 irds intact.

assuming he has 82+91+118/119 installed, i am guessing best way would be to get 3 3x4, 3 sw21 and 1 1x4 diseqc in order to connect all installed dishes to his present 3 irds and 1 dm500s.

each lnb(duals) would go to a 3x4 to split it 4 ways.
port 1 of 3x4 from 82 and port 1 of 3x4 from 91 goes to 1 of sw21 to ird 1.
port 2 of 3x4 from 82 and port 2 of 3x4 from 91 goes to another sw21 to ird 2.
port 3 of 3x4 from 82 and port 3 of 3x4 from 91 goes to third sw21 to ird 2.

now...

port 4 of 3x4 from 82 and port 4 of 3x4 from 91 goes to say port 1 and port 2 of diseqc and then 118+119 lnb direct to port 3 of diseqc which then goes to dm500s.

am i on the right track?

if not then please let me know what is the best way to get there.

Save yourself the drive and give him a phone call and ask him the following questions;
1. Is he cuerrently subscribing to HD on Bev? If he is he will definately have both 82 and 91.
2. Ask him to go out and look at his dish from the ground. Ask him to see if it looks like ther are 2 separate LNBs on the dish or one big one. Also ask him to see if he can see the letters DPP printed on the back of the LNB in big black letter. If he cannot see the DPP and it looks like a single LNB ask him how long irt has been since he had the system installed.
3. Ask him to look behind the dish and see if he can see 4 coaxes going into one side of a box and another 3 or 4 coaxes comming out the other side.
4. Ask him to look at the front of each of his IRDs and tell you what the model numbers are.

Based on the answers to the above question we should be able to narrow down his current setup and recommend what switches he need to set up the dreambox.

i know that he had it installed like 1 month ago.
i am pretty sure that he has 82 working. he told me that he got 1 hd-pvr box, 1 hd and 1 standard.

i will have to find out about the lnb and switch.

The model # of the HD-pvr box would be nice. If it is a dual tuner we would need to know that. Many new installs, DPP Twins are being used in order to take advantage of the DPP seperater, however DP Twins/Quads have been known to be used, or it could have Legacy LNBs - Singles, Twin, or a Quad. Need to know the switch - Legacy=SW44 or SW21s, DPP=DPP44, or DP=DPP44 or DP34.
