Actual pics on a prior trip to Bolivia.. One of the scariest things I've done.. Travel this road.........

doesn't look like a road to me bol. just a flat part on the side of a cliff!!

Hehehehee..It's a "road" and only road to get from La Paz to Coroico.. U go up like 20,000 feet almost to sea level.. All over the road there are rock slides from melting ice above.. I heard they did pave it now.. But it is still one scary drive.. lol......

The paving of it probably just mad it more dangers since it would give drivers a false sense of security. And can you imagine the ice and sliding right over the edge? Oh hell no!

I am assuming no matter where u are at on this earth,...At 20,000 foots ( :) ) ..there will be plenty of that stuff..lol

Al Gore is Global Warming. Not Global Cooling. At 20K ft there is permanent ice and snow whether your near the Equator or not. But give Al a little time and he may change his view if it will make him more money. LOL

Lol...See post # 3 above.. I swear when we were at 20,000 feet we were above the clouds.. I thought I would die as I could not breathe from the lack of oxygen.. All that water u see in pics below.. Is melted snow... You see those crosses everywhere...

the world has alot of spectacular sites and adventurous journeys......that above, is definately one to try....if you dare! lol
the crosses, represent where persons have perished?

Exactly Chuck.. These are "memorials" for all the death along that road... They are at every turn......But once u get down to the Amazon area.. It's a beautiful thing.......
