The other day I shut down my XP based desktop in the accepted manner: When I went to boot it up the next day it asked me for a password in order to logon: I found this strange since for the past several months of usage it had never before requested a password. It then recycled and ask me for the password again and again and again, etc.
At this point I resorted to the Hiren Boot Disk and used the password removal software on the disk, setting the system to request that I use a new password. I booted the system and it did ask me for the new password, the system then advised me that the new password was entered successfully! I then tried to enter the system using the new password and it indicated that the password was "incorrect"! I am locked out of my system, any suggestions would be appreciated.
