hey all

Due to my Nfusion being dow i am looking at true free to air.

i do only understand english and have been on all the fta sites and still do not know what the best sat is to lock on. Any help will be greatly accepted and appricated.

I am in Muskoka Ontario and have a great assortment of dishes to use.

I do enjoy movies ,A&E,and sitcoms. I am tired of 20 hrs of paid programing and family fued. I am in a snow storm right now and will not be going out to line up any dishes at this time but i will be reading and thanking any one who can help me out.

There are several sats you could aim for like Amc9 at 83w, Galaxy 19 at 97w or Amc4 at 101w. Each sat has some different type of English programming. Gal19 also has about 150 international channels as well.
A motorised dish between 36"-39" and a linear lnb will give you greater choice.

I like the east/west retro stations on 83w.They are very hard to get thou as they are not a strong signal so bigger is better in this case.

History and Bio on Amc4 are also a good choice.

AMC 1 has Family Fude on C Band several others

Hipsat30 has pretty good movies in English, they do have Spanish subtitles. I usually widen my screen size to get those out.

If you are going to get into FTA you would really benefit from a different receiver. nFusion is basically a "Hack Box" & are actually very under rated in the FTA world.

I bought the HD model & was greatly disappointed in it in the FTA world. As far as receiving IKS...That's another story, as they are probably the best receiver going.

I bought a Brand New CS 6100 for $45. shipped on the bay.

Get a CNX Mini as a backup unit !! They are typically cheap and can be up in 30 minutes or less ........lol

Personally, I would reccomend a seperate stb just for true fta like a cs or a pansat. Both stbs are awesome scanners and we all know that a vitally important part of fta is the blind scan- too bad the pansat takes ages.

Your 36" will work just fine and you could set up the elliptical as a stionary dish.

You need 4 degrees of separation between the satellites
