Hey everyone!! I am looking for advice on what rotor to use on my 39 inch starchoice dish!!! I had stab hh100 and it was used! never got it to ever work at all! even putting it on true south like dishpointer.com said! This stab gears are shot!!When i put the dish up on it and found 110 S95 Q95! But when i have it all locked down the gear moves inch to the east! Wind knockes out!! So i no its messed up! So any advice on the best rotor to work with my nano premium will be awesome!!!

I like the STAB motors, all metal construction and by far the most torque. The DG380 is pretty damn close in quality to the STAB. I've owned both, I ended up selling the DG380 and kept my STAB motor because it's compatible with the Channel Master dishes.

I'm using a HH50 Stab motor on a 1m(39") and the same on a 1.2m(47") with no issues.

This thread refers to the question about the best motor? Perhaps, I should start a new thread. If it belongs in a different thread please move it.
My inquiry is which is the best for a 1.2. My friend I am assisting in replacing his Stab HH 120, first had a SG 2100. The Fortec Star 1.2 was obviously too big, and heave for it. It only lasted for a 'very' short time. Probably about 20 minutes. Will the latest model SG 380 be strong enough for this? Most of the replies here mention different motors, and some indicate they favor the Stab. I have a Stab HH 90 on my 90cm dish, and it still works well. It is approximately 6 years old. The first dish, a 36 inch was hit by a riding lawn mower. I replaced the dish, and did not replace the motor. I installed a larger dish, the 90cm. Actually, the first motor he had was a Stab HH 120. And, some one backed a vehicle in to it. Then, I installed the SG 2100 referred to above, and it could not handle the 1.2 for only a very short time. I am therefore inclined to agree with Satchick, the Stab HH 120 is a better motor. I can not find another Stab HH 120. Thanks!
