Hi All can anyone help me with flashing BB Curve. Its on T-Mobile now and I want to switch it to different provider. My local chop shops are telling me $50 to flash so I figured I try here first.

is it locked to T-Mobile ? if so check goggle and find the unlock code , the code isn't free tho but not even close to 50 dollars

more like around 15 or 20 dollars , nothing to flash get the code and follow the directions

does locked mean someones unknown personnal password that was previously on the phone before I aquired it? If so then no it is not locked.

No locked means that it is locked to one provider. once unlocked it can be used with any provider.

No it generally uses to lock one provider. Once it is unlocked it can be used with any provider and that is the most cool thing.

I know thread is old but for future reference, if it is a GSM Blackberry you need a code to unlock the BB so it can be used with any provider using GSM technology, if the BB is CDMA only, yes you need to flash it to the specific provider you want to use, if it is dual Band CDMA....GSM another different story.
