so i pointed my dish, and im getting 110 at 91Q 89S, and when i go to 119, it Locks into 110 it will not lock into 119 no matter what i do, i had tried 5 different switches thinking that was the problem, also i should say its storming outside well just finished, now spitting and dark clouds, could this be the problem? or is it my LNB? or should i move the dish a little to the left/right? Thanks in advance

If you are using legacy lnbs the lnbs are mismatched.
One is drawing more current than the other and it has nothing to do with the switch.
The cheapest way out is to use an sw21 switch if your receiver supports it or a 22khz switch
instead of a diseqc.

Ok so my receiver was working for 1 yr on a disq switch bit recently got wet and malfunctioned so I got a few sw21 switches so that's whatim currently testingnon at the moment, what should I do after sw21 hooked up

The dish is a non internal switch type? In the case of an internal switch you can use foil to cover one lnb and make sure the one that is uncovered is aiming at the proper sat. In the case of an external switch run the line straight without the switch to make sure you are not just to the left or right of the desired sat.

My lnbs have 2 seperste cables running from them into a external sw-21 so should I try the foil over 110 and try to pick up 119?

set your receiver to use sw21 instead of diseqc.

What type of lnbs are you using? Do they say dp on them? If not then they are legacy type, and I am assuming they are duals each (2 separate lnbs)? sw-21 switch will work. The default tp freq of 12224 for 119w will not work for alignment. Toggle to tp freq 12297 a conus tp and see if you get S% and Q%. Using sw-21 switch normally 119w is connected to dish 1, and 110w is connected to dish 2.

If you can get 110, 119 should be easy to get. Use transponder 12355 to lock on 119. I'm assuming you are getting the 2 sats on 1 dish with a LNB bracket? or a Twin LNB?

Also don't use any switch when finding each sat. After you have locked on then put the switch, if you are getting both sats on the same dish you will need to skew the dish a little.

ok so new problem, when i connect each LNB by them self to the receiver, i get signal both 119 and 110, but as soon as i connect them to any switch i have tried 4 different sw21 and a diseqc i will only pick up 110 and thats it, when i check 119 it will lock on 110 not 119, dont understand what am i doin wrong? i have 119 in LNB 2 adn 110 in 1,

If you reverse the ports at the switch does the problem stay with the sat or the switch?

You still need to tell us what type (brand/make) of LNB you have, it would help us greatly to help you fix your problems.

Can you please post what your lnb's say,
and dish and receiver?
If you need help, many can post you up some
pics to help you...
You may be missing chls if your settings
are not correct with relation to your lnbs &
receiver settings even though you have
good signal and quality...
In other words, you may see and think you are
aligned well, when you see a satellite lock, however,
may still miss many channels during scan if the
settings are off some.
Also, you mentioned ports...
Can you explain this some more...
Finally, let us know how many channels you scan on
each satellite.
This will assure yourself that you have received all
channels for you...
