The cat is 12yrs old and spaded.

He will do his business by the litter box. as we have 2 boxes . We tried everything possible. adding one extra litter box wherehe would go crap.

We are using unscented litter, night light , took cover off the box , checked him at the vet.

He only goes in one area.

Lat August until now he was ok. and started all over again.

Maybe its just his old age and spring is here. We dont know what to do any moreas we dont want to put him down unless there is a chance of fixing the problem.

We cant have him take over our house as eventually the odor will take over.

Litter boxes are clean etc...

What suggestions might one have.?

I seem think thing we are a a no win situation.

Thanks Jerry

Cats are sensitive to changes in their environment. The first thing is to think of what might have changed. I'm assuming that you have cleaned the area thoroughly to remove his urine marker in "his spot." You might try shifting the box over to where he has been going to see if that modifies his behavior.

Steps1Keep the box away from food/water. Cats are motivated to eat/drink and use the potty by scent. They usually won't go potty in a place that smells like their food/water. <br />
