hi,
going to be doing some dish re-aiming today...
want to try this setup for switches...can somebody chime in if this is possible
lnbs 110 + 118/119 -> sw21 -> sw22 off
lnb 129 -> sw22 on
sw22 to receiver.
from what i understand sw22 off is a passthrough so this setup should work right??
thanks

That should work fine..... why not use a diseqc ?

i find the sw21 to be a lot more robust as a switch, i have blown a few diseqc (both chietas + cheapos) due the weather up here in canada - just hate having to climb up and change switches out. figured a more durable switch might do the trick.
interesting side note-my current diseq has been going strong for like over 1 year now and its one of the cheapos-who would have thought?

I've gone thru my share of diseqc switches - one thing that I notice that when installed in a grounded setup they don't fail as often .

absolutely stanW the sw21 switch does fail but the disecq switch does fail a lot more often and me as being SBCA certified installer for direcway and direc and dish and starband the only way to keep those SW21 switches from being blown up is to run a seperate ground wire from the switch to a grounding block on the ground rod and a drip loop and make sure the connections are sealed rain and snow tend to short them out and short the reciever!! actually when im in a tight spot and had to use a couple to hookup four dishes lol so thumbs up to a SW21 switch kudos to StanW for that good point!
