They played well at the end of the season, as usual too little too late. Habs game is tomorrow to accomodate the Rush concert at the Bell Centre. GO HABS GO.

As always---the great spring rush of the Leafs. They are still a long way off, but with a ton of cash this off season they should be able to buy a defense----6 of them LMAO----BTW FIRE WILSON !! For the love of mike.

Well I think enough has been said about the Maple Laffs...
Habs in 5 at most 6

And did you see those Hawks last night...

Not going to happen pal-----I`m still waiting for the Thomas-Price duel and that`ll make some good hockey. Hopefully Thomas finally got into the series in the 3rd period of the last game. He looked nervous and indecisive the whole series so far. Neither Boston nor Montreal has played very well yet----who ever wins Thurs should be the one coming out the winner. Yet there are a couple good things about the Habs.....................

I forgot---yeah, it was nice to see the Hawks show up. The Canucks have a big thing going for them-----when Luongo goes on his usual playoff vaca they have Schneider raring to go. It`s gonna play huge for the Canucks before this is over.

Gotta like Vancouver now that they got a legit backup in goal. But then again how do you bet against Detroit?? They don`t have the goaltending but they just seem to keep winning at the right time.

You got that right bud, neither team is playing anywhere near "playoff hockey". We`ll hold our tee times so the Canadiens can be our caddys. That way they can wash our balls every 9 holes.

Nope it`s not ALL his fault-------but the PP, PK and slow starts are in a coach`s job description.. as are goals scored in the last and first minute of a period. Leafs were dead last in almost all of these catagories this season------------the rest of it was a complete lack of any defense. I repeat.............FIRE WILSON.

The leafs sell all their seats to corporations in Toronto, they could field a peewee team and still sell out the place.. Only time the leafs will invest in a team is when their ticket sales fall and that doesnt look like its gonna happen anytime soon.. Habs had the same problem a few years back under George Gillete, when corporations didnt renew their seasons tickets in the top Red seats (500 Level) all of a sudden they invested in players and the team started playing better. Now that the team is back on the Molson Familie's hands your going to see the dynasty return to Montreal..

Right on bud-------like the old joke goes------------the Leafs could sell out tickets to their practices. Real Leaf fans can`t afford to go to the games anyway as everything at the ACC is geared to "write offs" from beer, to food, to parking. I live in Windsor and get offered probably 25 - 35 freebies a season but only go to a few cause I can`t afford the "free tickets". Leaf fans in the stands today are busier on their blackberries than watching the game. Right you are JCO

I have a better Idea we book 2 games in Boston regular season we can watch Boston Vs The Habs and the Leafs, stay in a five star hotel, go to the best bars, even chase skirts and have money left over, besides that boston is more fun than Toronto as a ciy anyday..
And if you want to do Montreal, let me know I can get tickets at face value anytime except the playoffs, if its a HAbs vs Toronto game its a 50% off face value...lol AND FREE BEER AND HOT DOGS THROWN IN..:tehe:

Yup, it would be great for the fans--------------but do they deserve a team?? Damn right they do. Would they support a team over the long haul?? Damn right they would. The same can be said with Hamilton although the unemployment rate in Hamilton is a question in the long haul. So why not do it Bettman??-----Here`s why it won`t happen (IMO). The Montreal Canadiens Inc and the Toronto Maple Leafs Inc will never let it happen--never. TML Inc is one of the, if not THE most successful franchises in all of sports--the Canadiens Inc isn`t far behind so when they sit down at a table EVERYONE listens. Both franchises have a stranglehold on fanbase, logos, merchandise etc that they each won`t loosen their grip on. Hamilton would draw from not only Toronto for the most part but a decent arguement could be made that it would disrupt a fanbase in Buffalo and possibly even Ottawa. The NHL doesn`t want to piss off Toronto. Montreal has the same stronghold and although I get great satifaction disssing and prodding their fans---they are the most dedicated, ravenous fans in the world. If the NHL wants to create more rivalry etc---move Detroit back to the East where they belong----old rivalries of the Leafs/Habs/Wings/Bruins are legendary and still flourish today.
The old saying holds true-----"you have to give to get"----for Quebec City or Hamilton to get a team.. TML and the Canadiens would have to give and inch...they won`t. JMHO

good post cobra.

forget hamilton...that will NEVER happen. quebec, on the other hand...if an arena is built, that complys with nhl standards...then the fight will start....2 years...highly unlikely try 5.

but at this point...start thinking up a name for the winnipeg jets new franchise....cause this is the most probable new nhl frnachise at this point, and makes the most sense for canadians.
