Hi I have a 2007 Samsung LCD TV LNT4661, it had a problem with the power supply as it was clicking before it would turn on lately a few months ago some capacitors in the power supply were replaced, that solved the power problem, however last few weeks for some reason the picture has been very dull to watch, also it loses its settings whenever it is switched on, it is set for the Home mode not Shop. The video and color is fantastic on the DTV off air via the external U.H.F antenna, however CATV very dull as it used to have good balanced color, now sometimes the sky is Green, the lips are purple etc, also the S video both inputs are washed out. The HDMI is still good as it shows great colors.
It sounds terrible as well, audio changes volume depending on channels.. extreme loud to hardly hear or distorted audio as if clipping.
I am looking for a Service Manual as well as if anyone can post if they have the same TV what or how to initiate the service calibration, there is an RS232 port at the back of the TV. The TV is out of manufacture warranty.
Please help.
many thanks in advance

Hi thank you, however this is just an owner's manual.
I am looking for the Service manual for this LCD LNT 4661F as well as the *code* to invoke the Tech menu to see what have changed if anything... there are all the parameters that once I could see them I will know exactly what needs to be done, though a service manual will be a great asset.
If I can just get the service manual, I will figure out the rest as well as can help others in dire situations.

since my last post I have managed to find a service manual as well as the code to invoke the tech menu from the remote: press mute then power off the tv then press mute again then press one by one 1...8...2...Power.. the picture will come then a few seconds latter if your code have worked.. all the menu shows on the Left side, the rest you will need to figure.
*please note* do it at your discretion ... if you are not sure what you are doing then may I suggest that you don't touch anything and if you do then before you do it , save all the previous settings on a clean or Fat 32 formatted USB stick.

Citroens,
Can you tell me where you found the LN-T4661F service manual? I've been looking all over for it and can't find it anywhere.

Thank you

Hi ,
It was through a mutual friend from Samsung Service at the time.
The Manual did have tons of information with reference to the setup, however I was unable to obtain the 'firmware restore' *program as this was all it was wrong with my set.
I was able to order the Video board from Amazon.com the price for this module was I think $94 plus the shipping, after the boards arrival, the TV was fixed, also the version of this PCb was latter as per the numbers. I couldn't get a reasonable response from Samsung although I knew what was the problem as well as had figured that the processor that remembers all calibration is on this pcb.
I hope it helps.

Do not touch the CALIBRATION if you do it will need to be reset with this *.
