I'm with Stan on that also as I had one custom made about 7 years ago, St Croix is one nice rod also, since I bought my bud one of these St Criox he has been doing very well when we fish, almost too good lol
Not that I'm that competitive lol

I know a lot of guys that swear by em, but I've never fished one. I've got a few Falcons that I really like. My favorites are short ultra lites my dad tied for me paired with old Zebco Cardinal 4's.

Loomis rods are the best for sure:thumbsup:...only problem is the price.
Always purchase one when the wife is away and lie your azz off about the price if you get caught ...lmao!:tehe:

What kind of fish how big of fish and what size of hooks
When buying a rod this all comes into play,I like the MHF in a rod (medium/heavy/fast/)this rod will handle some nice size fish and with that fast tip if a fish swims by in the next bay you will feel it

Great rods, however so are Kistler and Falcons.

What model do you guys recommend? Are the GLX worth the extra money or are the IMX and GL3 good enough?

Price differential is too much for the GLX. I.m going for the IMX. It's plenty sensitive enough for my fishing needs. Tight lines.
