Why is it i can hook my laptop to my modum and watch any youtube video with know problem,but when i hook my belkin router up then try to watch a video on my laptop wireless the video freeze's up so much i cant watch them???I can even hard wire to my laptop from belkin router and still video's will start and stop,is it because its a cheap router?I have fast dsl and like i said hook straight to modum and want have no problem??

sounds like router is just working very poorly. I would check the router settings

Nostradamus is correct. Something else to think about is what other peripherals do you have attached to the router. Perhaps they are taking up bandwidth which would cause poor performance issues. If there is an online gamer or someone else using I-Net this will definately cause traffic conflicts. Your ISP allots only so much bandwidth to your connection.

What type of signal are you getting wireless? Most routers will step the connection down if there's interference or distance to keep from getting errors and interference. I have an older belkin and it does well for the laptop, but the signal is strong and the router is close. Mine doesn't have a removable antenna, but you'd be amazed what a larger antenna can do for ya- if you can change it.

Maybe even change the wireless channel to see if it'll help. Don't remember what belkin sets for default- but think it's 1 or 3. Maybe something is interfering and that's all you need to do?
