hi guys i am looking for a program , which can bring back my Win 7 & Win XP system to earliear point. I tried RestoreIT which is not working as i like. So i am looking for some other program, if any body know which is good i will give a try.
my aim is like this. After format my computer i will install windows 7 or win xp on PC and all of my use necessery programs like Adobe reader & yahoo messener etc as of Jan-31-2011. After this i want to install a program like this which can put a check point perminently on Jan-31-2011 upto diskspace use 25 GB for example.
There after i keep on doing my work on this pc over a year till Jan-31-2012, at this time my computer infected by many viruses & childrens games and disk space use upto 100 GB.
Now i decided to go back to a ckeck point on Jan-31-2011 in the month of Feb-01-2012, which can bring back the system at 25 GB space used and all unnecessery programs should be removed.
So i like to know to achive this task which program i have to use, because i no need to format my computer every time to rebuild from the begining.
so can any body let me know which program i have to use.
thanks for your answers

If you have a disc for win 7 just put it in the drive & restart it & it will wipe your computer & install the win 7 or XP

i don't want to keep on reinstalling o/s from the begining all the time when ever problem occer in pc. so i just want to build hole system one time with all of my necessery programs install on it then put a perminent check point jan-31-2011. so in future if pc spoiled after a year then simply i want to go back to the check point on jan-31-2011.
so i like to know is there any program i can buy online,. because i already tried restoreit which is not working as i like. this restoreit always creating new check point and deleting my old check point. so this program is not working as i like.
if you guys know any good program which can perform this task, i want to give a try.
thanks

you can just do a backup at the point you want then load that a year later. System restore that is built into windows will not remove any virusus'

Norton Ghost is what you want. After you install your operating system make an image of it and your good to go.

Don't know where your going with this. One hady thing is you can open up an image file with Norton Explorer and grab files that you might have lost along the way. Very handy as I use Ghost after I've loaded all the programs that I usually use. Can always go back to the basic install.

Try installing a second hard drive, get the main one "C" running with all the main programs you need, and then lock it out to any changes, use drive "D" for all extra programs and changes, all downloads, data files, documents, game programs and other junk will go to “D” drive.
If “D” drive gets too infected you can take it out and shoot it.

Acronis True Image works well for this type of thing but if your computer is getting in that type of mess I would suggest doing regular virus scans and also using a program called Malwarebytes to keep it clean.
I also think if it gets that messy to be restoring from a backup more often than once a year and I am sure glad I don't get any email from you in the last half of any year:)

I have an image for each of my Windows PCs with the OS, Office, and a few other basic programs. The rest can be reinstalled later, and everything will need to be updated anyways. I used True Image to create the images, and I store them on my server.
How exactly does a system get filled up with virii and malware after one year? Just get a good AV and firewall package, and run malwarebytes regularly. Just being careful goes a long way too.
