I've installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop and I'm trying to run wfemu on my VS 9000HD.
Everything seems to work to a point.
After I modify the client.conf file to reflect the/dev/pts/number, and my private server info, I start the x86.pgm.
I can see that it connects successfully to my server, but the on the next line it says: Segmentation fault.

My laptop is connected to the VS using a USB to serial adapter (PL2303).
I can see that Ubuntu recognize it because I set the vendor (067b) and product info (2303) before hand.

Of course, the VS was flashed with the current file for the 9000HD.

The 3 files required by Linux, (wfemu, client.conf, and client.x86), are in the root directory.

This is my first attempt at working with Linux so I don't know where to go from there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have you put the wfemu files in home folder and then on the desktop and extract or open them on the desktop....run them in proper order emu...config...then rq? ..

You mention they are in the root directory this can happen when they are there and you are not running as root. open a terminal and use: gksudo nautilus
navigate to the programs and move them to your home folder or desktop, while still running nautilus as root right click them and make sure it is read write for all 3 and execute as program is checked. exit terminal and re-try. If you still get the error trash them and re download to desktop. This should square you away.
