pretty good flick. it was like a quinton tarintino movie, good acting, lots of gore. plot was well done..andserious, yet made to be humorous. danny trejo as the lead actor, with a very good supporting cast. such as de niro, segal, lohan, fahey, alba, rodriguiz, johnson.

worth the watch...3.5/5

I agree. Robert Rodriguez always does a great job in bringing something new and original to the screen. He has frequently worked with Quentin Tarrantino on projects such as Grindhouse, Desparado and From Dusk Till Dawn, and the two of them seem to share a love of "B" movies, and how to bring them back into todays mainstream with style.
Of course with either of these guys you're going to get lots of on screen violence, but it's some of the funniest violence you'll ever see. :thumbsup:

Oh BTW, speaking of Grindhouse, anyone who has seen it may recall the "previews" that were incorporated into that flick, and Machete was one of them.

I can't quite agree with the tarantino comparison. Im a very big fan of all tarintinos movies. Machete was like the poor step child to any of tarintino's movies. Machete wouldnt make a pimple on tarrintinos ass; tarintino is a B movie bad ass whos movies cant be duplicated.
But judged on its own merits, Machete, pretty good movie with lots of action...I must add my boyfriend agrees with you chuck t
