That would depend on what type of channels you intend to receive.

You need a dish at least 33 inches or larger with a Linear LNB to receive True FTA channels. A motor is highly recommended as well.
For sats from Dish Network and Bell TV you need a dish that is at least 18 inches with a circular LNB. Remember dish size is relative to your location.
