I am a little confused at how the tiers work. Is it that I would get 3 chances (3 tiers) to get the winners correct?
Like if tier one, I get all completely wrong but tier two, I get the leaders that I picked closer to the actual winner and second and third place right, Then I would make points?
I re-read the rules DD but am a bit confused still :(

You purpose is to pick 10 drivers (3 from tier one, 3 from tier two, and 4 from tier 3). And you second purpose is to pick those ten drivers in hopes that they will finish as close to the front as possible.

The Tiers are rearranged twice during the season.

Once during the all star break, and once at the start of the chase.

DD how about wrong tier driver or less ....is the lowest points still added as previously?

If you are asking about the situation where someone will make the mistake of posting the wrong driver selection for a particular tier, then yes, I will maintain the unwritten rule of you will receive the lowest finishing driver points for a mistaken choice in your tier selection. Is that what you where asking superQ?

Thank you to my lending officer at the bux bank.

We now have some prizes for the winners this year. (points event races only)

As you may or may not have noticed the vBShop here on the forums now. You probably also noticed your satfix bux in your posts by your post count.

Well here are the prizes, for each race....

:first: gets 100 satfix bux
:second: gets 50 satfix bux
:third: gets 25 satfix bux

All of the tier orders are pretty much 98% complete.

I have all of the drivers, and car numbers posted in the rules thread.

They are per 2010 owners points, or unofficial 2011 owners points.

Nope. As long as you have the correct amount of drivers, and their car number, per each tier, and the tiers are in order you are good to go.

Check out the example in the rules thread, or look at some of the threads from last season.

Just remember all though qualifying is today, the line up will not be determined until after Thursday's Dual 150s.

You would then have fore knowledge of who is going to be on the pole.

Okay, I don't really follow Nascar, DD wanted to get me in this last year, I guess I will give it a shot this year, I read the rules, I was a little confused, but this thread cleared all that confusion right up, thanks for all the questions and answers by DD and EyeQ..

It is kind of like fantasy football , but with racing... your driver doesn't have to win the race to get points, but of course, it sure helps...lol... list driver and car number, 3 from tier 1, 3 from tier 2 , and 4 from tier 3..

I pick Ricky Bobby to win it all :tehe:

No, not at all. The way we do the points here you will have the option to catch up.

You get the points that are given to the drivers that you pick. The better you pick the better your points.

Also we reset the points for the start of the chase, so everyone gets set back to zero....but you get bonus points for each week that you particiapted, for each week that you won, and each week that you scored a perfect 10 (which no one has done!)

Read the NASCAR Pool rules, as all of this is spelled out in detail there, and also gives you an example of how the drivers are divided, and how many to pick.

In other words....dive right in this week end and stick with it. We had a few that missed a race or two last season and finished right near the top of the points.
