Neither USA nor Sweden wanted to play this afternoon, neither expected to be playing this afternoon----neither wanted to play for the bronze, neither expected to play for the bronze.............and it showed. The game this afternoon was pretty well a "let down" game for both---yes, there were flashes of a contest but for the whole these great kids played merely an exhibition today---and who can blame them. It took a lot just to get on the ice for both teams who held great expectations for themselves----all to fall just short. They are both to be congratulated for having great teams in their own right---but this is sports at a higher level. Lick your wounds for now kids----but rest assured you lost nothing in the eyes of anyone who watched you play.....there will be many more scoreboards you`ll look up at in your long and successful futures-------and you`ll be sporting the grin of a champion..
