hi i woke up this morning to find my eliptical bracket snapped in half (my luck) the question i have is will my regular 119 @ 110 bracket work with my eliptical dish im just going to try to hit 119 and 110 again .will i have to tweak the dish or should it still be aligned . thank you in advanced

the brackets are designed for a particular focal length dish, if your bracket is not for the same dish then the location of the LNBs will not be right--the spacing for the LNBs is set by the pointing angle to the sat and how that relates to the tangent of the angle times the focal length.

The elliptical dish that you have is just a section of a standard parabaloid taken such that it gives lots of area in the horizontal to support LNBs through a big range of angles--it isn't really an "ellipical" dish, that is a different class of reflector.

thank you for replying jvv i had switch ed my dishes around so i no longer have the eliptical up i hit 119 and im leaving it for today but thanks for your answer
