strange problem with my laptop

maybe somebody can help . when i go to some internet sites it's not working it saying

The webpage "www.facebook.com" cannot be foundDNS error occurred. Server cannot be found. The link may be broken.


i have avg security system when i try my other laptop it's works fine so somebody can tell me what's going on.

you more than liely hav your browser hijacked with spyware... google and download malwarebytes and that shoul;d clean it up

Can you access web pages by typing in the IP address instead?

yes you can but if you have spyware ir malware then they will/may behave erratically and maybe further compromising your computer. Malwarebytes is free and works great...free download and removal. Rescan with virus scanner and then you should be able to access facebook...if you still are unable too . IS is possible that you have inadvertently block this site from AVG? you may want to check that first?
