I have had great success with:

All you have to do is register for the site and PM "unlock" with the IMEI, Model number, and carrier the phone is locked to.

...he might be slow to respond this week as it is xmas.

thank you very much. that site is very helpfull. just waiting for the unlock code now. i got my mep and imei from a link by another member, that person also directed me to a site which had a program to reset the admin password on another blackberry i got 8700.. Thank again

You can get the unlock code for your Blackberry 8800 mobile from Unlock-Zonedotcom here you need to specify your country,Network provider to which it is locked,IMEI number of your phone.Then they deliver unlock code to you through mail with unlocking instructions.

i used cellunlocker.net, but I screwed mine up and after first attempt at the code, it told me I had (0) Mep attempts left, now people told me there is nothing I can do, usually you have a few attempts at the code, i had one for some reason, unless when I was typing MEPD and MEP and saw no section to type code, I tried again, maybe I had to wait. but anyways after you have (0) attempts you are screwed, unless someone could tell me differently.
