You can get an S-video to RCA adaptor, but it'll still be a low resolution (640x480). Terryl posted a link to the VGA converters, which to work a bit better...

Does the projector not have VGA or RGB?

That projector has a VGA port on it.... Why not just run a VGA cable from your computer? That would give the best picture quality.

The cheaper you go the cheaper the pic is going to look. (sorry I'm a video fanatic)

I use a commercial HDMI PCI card for my media center, the pic is great but it costs a pretty penny, I tried some of the other video cards with DVI outputs and wasn't that impressed with the picture.

You want a good looking pic on HD look into one of these hummers.

Things are fuzzy?

What do you expect?

That model only has a 700 to1 contrast ratio, (sharpness of picture) not very good in my professional opinion.

You want a good picture you should have got this one,
http://www.hdprojectorworld.com/proseries10.html it has a 2000 to 1 contrast ratio.

Also how far are you running the VGA cable?

If the VGA connection is fuzzy, RCA or S-video will be even worse...... Did you try adjusting the resolution on the computer? Is the projector in focus?

Also note that you have a multimedia projector, not a data projector. A multimedia projector is really just for playing games and watching movies, not for viewing text...

The Atlona AT-HDVieW is designed to take video and audio signal from PC or Laptop and upscale it to digital HDMI output of wide-range HDTV and PC resolutions, up to 1080p. The AT-HDVieW is a plug and play device, it will automatically sense the native resolution of the display and scale the computer's output to match it.
