With my Windows Vista, on my Hewlett Packard, it has Media Center. I do not have a Tv Tuner installed.
1. What is the best Tv Tuner card that anyone would recommend?
2. What programs in South Central Illinois would I be able to watch on the computer?
3. Would I have to connect any kind of an antenna to the card?
4. Through the media center would it allow me to also transfer the television programs to the television?
Thanks!

I had an ATI all in wonder a several years ago it was good for viewing a small window of tv in 1 window while working in another.i would not recommend it for recording at all unless that have really improved alot .You can recieve all your ota channels and your sat if on channel 3.They are also expensive.

There are internal TV tuners and there are internal satellite tuners, however some wont work with Vista or windows 7, most where designed around XP.
Hauppauge makes both types, and yes you would have to connect a TV antenna or satellite dish to make them work.

Thanks for the replys! I have a Azbox HD Premium Plus; however, the TV is not digital. I have a motorized 90cm reflector. Perhaps I could connect it to the TV Tuner, and receive my locals?
Thanks!

Another consideration is that there are still ntsc tuner cards out there. You will need ATSC tuner card if you want to receive ota locals.
