Great Western
I thought they did a terrific job on the transfer to 1080p as far as PQ goes. The night scenes were pretty drab. They just don't have the transfer on those right, & are very gritty. There is a lot of browns, but this is a western, & it is expected. The vibrancy however does shine in the scenes where colors are available. I read on IMDB that most of this movie was shot on Location in NM. Most of NM I have seen was brown.
The audio was a little like sitting in a tunnel. I give it a 3 out of 5 rating. I really was unimpressed & frankly it was a little disappointing. I would however recommend this movie especially if you are a LD fan.
I also give the extras a 3 out of 5. I have seen much more information in cheap DVD's. This is very plain. I am one of those people that think BD movies for the most part are WAY over priced...At least give us a little something.
Overall I would this is a good movie. & I gave it a 4+. I paid $20.00 for it new. I can't complain about that too much for a 384 min. movie. I hope the sequels come out on Blu-ray!
