Updating the latest s/w...

Has anyone had any problems updating your 360 via the web ? I have tried many, many time to update my buddies xbox, it gets half way through the d/l and stops with an error.

I tried to update it via usb, but can't get that it work either ( or I am not doing it correctly ) it said to put all the files on the root of the usb, so , I formatted to Fat32, used windows explorer to put the files on the root of the usb , but it says that the xbox should read the file upon starting up and ask to load files, but it doesn't do that :noidea:, it goes to the dashboard, any ideas?

the usb option is the best in my opinion. first, double check which dash you have in the system info panel. then just search for the 13599 dash or 13604 dash update file (should be a folder that looks like $SystemUpdate) and put that on. once you plug it in at the dashboard, it will automatically read it, unless you have the auto-update feature disabled through dash-launch. but that's for jtags.
