BERN, Switzerland — Unbeaten heavyweight title contender Kevin Johnson has promised his daughter he'll beat Vitali Klitschko and become world champion.
Johnson made the prediction Friday at a news conference in Bern, Switzerland. He'll fight Klitschko for the Ukrainian's WBC belt on Dec. 12 in the Swiss capital.
Johnson, a single father from Atlanta, said he promised his 10-year-old daughter Fatimah he'll come home with the title.
Klitschko said Johnson would be world champion one day _ but not yet. It will be the third title defense of the year for the 38-year-old Klitschko.
