I think I got a clone 2100 motor! It came in a package deal. It does not have enough power to move a 30 inch dish from center to east or west. When dish is full travel to east it cannot move it back unless I help it. Same for going from full west. Is there away to tell if it is a clone or real motor.

I don't know if there are clones of the SG2100 out there but there is bound to be.
I would take the dish off and see if the motor acts differently, if it doesn't act differently without the weight of the dish maybe it is binding internaly. Also maybe use some light hand pressure for resistance and see if that really drags the motor down, it shouldn't as it should be geared to have power.
Are you using an unusually heavy dish, from what I understand an SG2100 is only rated for dishes up to 24 lbs?

Thanks for reply,
The dish came with the motor as a kit 30" Winegard. I am putting the ladder up to push it to get it started then it will SLOWLY move to a preset. If I only go to about 45 degrees of center it will Slowly operate. So I have to lock in that
position in the receiver(45 degrees each side of center). I was trying to get Sat 61.5 and took off the stop position, so it went past the 45 degrees and then it would not come back.
As far as weight of dish, not sure but I saw where it was suppose to handle up
to a 4' dish. I took it down when it first acted up and with no weight on it, it worked ok. I was thinking about the 9120 motor(Heavy duty) It is getting old going up the ladder(LOL)

did you try a different receiver? does the green light turn red when it's moving?

Thanks JCO,
I went up on the ladder and help it move from the max east and after it was about 1/2 way back to 0 position it was moving on it's own, moving very slow.
I have a RF wireless remote so I could click on the motor control up on the roof.
I now have 61.5 locked in and set the east limit to just pass that sat so that it will not go to extreme east position.
I will be getting a better motor.
Thanks Forum

PS: The leds did indicate as it was slowly moving.

You have tried moving the motor while on H and V pol freqs ? The motor will move much slower when on a 13v vs 18v pol.
