Having a problem with my signal disappearing on 97W. To get it back I have to go to my most Southern Sat ie 79W & Go to the menu, then to Motorised settings then down to Go To and press OK on my Coolsat 6000P. The signal comes back only to disappear again. Anyone else with this problem??

Hmm...
Are any switches evolved... Sound like either a failing switch or a loose cable. Check all your ends...Even take them off & put them back on. Sometime there cut be debris or moisture that got in there.
Check the ground on your switch if you have one
I take it this is a DiSEqC motor?

Also make sure your system is grounded properly...
It could also be a failing LNB... Do all channels lose signal, or just some?

Yes this is a motor setup from 72W to 125W with no switching involved.
Thanks for the suggestion on the moisture posibility, I'm going to replace the coax tomorow, it's been up there for over 5years.

When you replace the coax, I strongly recommend using compression connectors... They don't come lose and they're more moisture resistant then those crimp connectors. I used Gilbert connectors and haven't had an issue, Thomas and Betts is overpriced.

Replaced the Coax and heat shrinked the compression connectors as an extra measure.
The problem was the coax at the motor end, it had slipped from the strain connector and when the dish moved it was pulling on the coax lead in. it was fine as long as I didn't move past 83 W but as I moved to 97W and further it would put a strain on the old coax at the motor connector, anyway good to go again.
Thanx for the help.
