CALGARY -- The Calgary Stampeders have declared Sunday's CFL Western final against the Saskatchewan Roughriders a sellout.
The last 200 to 300 tickets sold Thursday, which means McMahon Stadium will be at its 35,650 capacity Sunday.
"We had sold over 31,000 tickets prior to knowing who our opponent would be and once that team was determined, the remaining seats were gone quickly," Stampeders president Lyle Bauer said in a statement.
Calgary also had a sellout the last time a division final was played at McMahon two years ago. The Stampeders defeated the B.C. Lions 22-18 in that game en route to winning the Grey Cup in Montreal a week later.
The forecast for the Calgary area Sunday is partly cloudy with a high of minus-13.
