FreeDBs Gets Shot Down??

Everyone interested in FreeDBS should read this thread at Legal Free To A..
It's in the 'Generat Free To Air' section on page 2 titled "FreeDBS".There are several technical posts by Tony Durnette from New Zealand well experienced in the same type of venture as FreeDBS.It's too long to post it here.Here's the link:

If you read the thread,he mentions his experience with FreeView etc.You obviously know quite a bit about him.He sounds very legitimate and knowledgeable.He's way brighter than I'll ever be.

Right click on url you want and select Copy.
Right click on destination of url and select Paste.
While creating the post, highlight the url.
Look at icons above text box of the post you are creating,
select http://www.satfix.net/images/editor/unlink.gif to make unlive. Skip this, not necessary. Go to next step.
Then select http://www.satfix.net/images/editor/code.gif to put a code box on link.
Done.

My first attempt was a live link in the box,I went right back to edit and re clicked the last 2 icons.That fixed it.I don't know what I did wrong so I can't duplicate it.

I think it had a lot to do with a bad conversion from a non VB platform. Every link that was posted with a code box was still live. Eventually it got fixed up after they reloaded the platform again. Thanks for the tip, makes it much easier.

showing that if you edit your post after you realize it was a live link.....then putting code tags around it won't make it dead.......unless you remove the url tags from the front and back of the link.......me thinks....;)

I was going nuts at SatGxys trying to kill a link.I think I had it right the first time,by mistake, but panicked and started trying different combinations until I skiped the icons.I'm a 'computer-ill-idiot' but Spaztriger tutored me.

I was aware of them,I should say 'him',now that I've read through that thread.It sounds like he has an 'agenda' to see FreeDBS fail.He shoots his foul mouth off,doesn't back himself up with anything solid,and shoots Manhatan Digital in the back for possibly selling a receiver model to them.He loves to hear himself talk.I don't give him much credence due to his obvious imaturity with the foul language and wearing a pot on his head.Plus his IQ is posted by his avatar.He has a few who jump on his bandwagon.If FreeDBS doesn't make it I would still give little credence to his onesided info;same as Rick's.

I have read the 7 months postings by that blowhard and I must say trommy you have him paged to a "T" . What a lot of misguided and misinterpreted crap . His claim that most sites are piriate sits and we are using pirate equipment is a laugh .His idea of a scam should fit his house.

I was hoping for a more substancial response but it does seem that they are undeterred.I got this response from Mark Mauk within 1hr:

"Thanks for support, we are still working on this and can not release news on everything that we are doing. Yes there are many obstacles. Thanks.."

As you can see they know they can't respond to the countless negative postings.And it is none of our business!
