Just got a new ride, 87 jeep laredo, needs a lot of TLC. The passenger floor is wet. The rear hatch button doesn't work. Need a timing light! Broken door hinges, one door inoperable. Heater is weak, blower fan? Will have to upgrade the stereo, can do that by myself. Front end is sure wobbley and the brakes pulsate really bad, can I stop in time? Ya, a lot of issues, it's a 4x4 and will sure enjoy that. Found a jeep dealer in my closes town but, want to get all the work done on the cheap. Have the antenna on the dash ATM as haven't had the time to pull the dash.
Any good websites or manuals I should look up? All help, thanks in advance!!
Happy Testing!!!

About the only thing I can tell for sure about is if the passenger floor is wet and the heater is weak you most like will have to replace the heater core as it sounds like it's leaking. Keep a close eye on your antifreeze level so it doesn't over heat. It most likely has a 318 V8 and those are good motors from mopar.

It's a straight 6, think I have a timing light but, will have to learn how to use it. I'm thinking the heater core is bad too. Might have seen something about it on the net, just can't remember where. Thanks for the posts!

Pulsating brakes can be caused by warped or otherwise damaged rotors or drums. One common cause is over torquing the lug nuts...
What's the body like? Are the rockers and wheel wells still solid? I'm not sure where you are, but around here every one of those jeeps is rotted right out.

I would check for rust to be build up in the cooling vents of the rotors has that well cause the brakes to pulsat.Just tap them with a hammer not to hard to break them.Go to any automotive parts store and you can get a book manual for your jeep ,it's not too pricey

Thanks for the posts! Been pretty busy helping out a friend set up his horse arena. Have talked to the local wrecker and may get some parts from him when he gets another in stock, a bunch went to the crusher cause noboby had any interest at the time. Still have to get the Ford going, just needs an ignition part and a starter. Got a 92 4x4 roll over and am thinking of putting the 89 body on the frame and get a hybrid 4x4 crew cab? Will have to get to canuck tire for a Haynes book on the Jeep and hopefully keep it going for the winter.
Thanks again for all the ideas and suggestions!!!

Just needs some well deserved TLC atm. Have a lot on my plate now and don't have any time it seems. Thanks and will ask specifics when the time comes to do something about it.
