So you had less signal and still no quality when you put your lnb in its place?
If so, then either both lnbs would be faulty, settings are wrong, or the sat isn't adjusted correctly. Did you try skewing the lnb a little, because some sats are more sensitive than others? Did you replicate your settings for your lnb when you tried it?
you said your setup is up and workin and you then tried his lnb on your already pointed dish and you got nothing.
Did you replace this lnb with you old one and it worked?
if you answered yes my opinion is the lnb is faulty or the settings are not correctly set.

I have to agree with wildman and risk. I think you have a settings issue, post them here and will take it from there. Also, most linear lnb frequency is 11700-12200, sounds maybe like you have a special circular low band lnb which is used for Anik F3 at 118.8w.

Did you set it up for universal lnb?

All those sats in your pic are circular, original post is for linear sat G19 at 97w, my setup is universal 9750-10600.
i have try single and universal
---------17050 9750/10600
22kh of
LNB power ON to both
search oftion ALL to both
net work search ON to both
and i still got no quality.
thanks all for respond

If you were using your setup with previous lnb the you need to skew your universal lnb until optimum signal quality is achieved.
i have try about 3 hours but got no luck on my friend LNB, I put my LNB back in it only take about 10 minute then i got good quality. Is it possible that they send me the bad LNB or i just didn't aim it right? with the information above do you think i got the right LNB?
thanks

If you put your lnb back in its spot and are receiving signal quality I would send the lnb back. Also, unless your scanning with a big dish on the Atlantic side I would recommend a linear lnb 11700-12200.

Costsatc if you look at 118.8 it is linear.

Actually 118 is circular with with linear frequencies. FSS type setup

Exactly as andy stated, it's a low band circular lnb 11700-12200.

What does that have to do with the topic of this thread? Also, it sounds like your writing an ad for that lnb, word for word.

You mean from this page?

I don't think Galaxy Marketing will mind the bump :tehe:, but I still don't think they would sell that LNBF for that particular sat. I don't think they carry a low fq circular LNBF.
It's a fun hobby Glatt, but don't get discouraged here on the board we are all learning new things every day :okay:
