View Full Version : set up help
i got dish 1000.2 and 33inch dish for fta. I'm trying to hook up them together, by the way that i know on dish 1000.2 they have one lnb input. So I try to connect the fta dish to dish 1000.2 input and my setup for them is:
for the 110, 119,and 129 i use OCS _DP
and for 97W what should i use?OCS _DP or single. If i set them up to single i got more channel then OCS_DP.
Does it matter which one that i set to? Will they compatible if i set 110,119 and 129 to OCS-DP, and 97 for single because i got 2 dish but 1 r6 cable to the receiver. And got good quality signal for all.
thanks

I dont know if hooking upto the 1000.2 dish will work but for 97w the lnb must be linear and settings are single-10750
I've got to agree with Andy my friend, a 1000.2 is going to be a little small for Linear, & the LNBF used for Linear is either a standard 10750 or a Universal 9750/10600
They are completely different.
I'm sure you could come up with a few channels on 97W with that dish, but I think you will get a lot of loss & pixelazation issues.
I always reccomend at least a 36" round for FTA, but there are certain parts of USA/Canada where a 36" will be just too small

no no no i got 2 different dish, one for true fta and the other for D..n. and i have linear stander 10750. I try to put 2 dish in one R6 cable go through dish 1000.2. On 110, 119, 129 i use OCS_DP i wonder if i use single for true fta does it mess-up the picture or something on my D..n doesn't work?

You will need to place a switch between the 2 dishes. You can use a SW21 switch or a 22KHz switch. Remember to correct your receiver settings to reflect your layout.
Can't seem to post a pic????

You'll have to use a 22K switch, with the DN dish on the OFF side, and the true FTA dish on the ON side of the switch. Connecting a standard LNB to the input on a 1000.2 will not work. It's designed for a DishPro LNB only.

thanks for respond, do you know where can i get 22k switch? Connecting a standard LNB to the iput on a 1000.2 is working right now on true FTA but some region my 110, 119, 129 is not working. I don't know is it just me or the newlink been down alot lately, i couldn't tell i did something wrong or the server is down. So when you say it will not work if i connect standard LNB to input on 1000.2 , do you mean that 110, 119, 129 will not work? Because i'm trying to get both dish to work. And it so hard. (HELP)
thanks
