to all computer guros i need your help to disable this security alert message i could not login to other website like msn, facebook,and etc because the computer would not let me to login. this is the message i am getting: you are about to view page over a security connection. any info you exchange with the site cannot be viewed by anyone else on the web. is there a way to disable this security alert. thanks

If your using Internet Explorer go to "Tools" the select "internet options" go to the security tab and set all security levels to "default" level on all tabs, save and exit IE, then re-start IE, this should get you on line.

thanks for quick response i did tried your advised went to security and clicked default and restarted but still could not login to website: like msn,facebook and etc the message on the screen the page cannot displayed any more idea

this may sound stupid but i would try another browser.
when i had issues with firefox and ie i used opera for awhile.
i hear good things about google chrome though...

the problem was the norton 2004 security anti virus that was installed.that is why i could not login to hotmail, gmail, facebook, you tube and could not receive or send e-mail the norton antivirus is blocking i tried to delete but was unsuccesfull. does anybody know how to delete this norton anti virus without norton administrator i tried to get in touch with norton but was put on hold by machine for almost an hour.to all genius i need your help thanks.

I had a neighbor with tha same problem as you have, getting rid of norton is worse than getting rid of the worst virus. I think we went thru " regedit " to " find " every instance of norton and (samantek ? ) the parent of norton. Deleted every one we found. Takes a long time almost easier to re-format and start over.

There's a program called norton removal tool (or something close) that you can get from the symantec website- it will forcefully remove anything that's left on the pc.

it has never let me down.
