Private Iks Servers

Since it is being discussed everywhere, i thought i would put in my 2 cents about private iks servers

1) if you know about it, it cannot be too private it. they should be known as paid iks servers.

now that being said, you have to be really careful because there is now a link between you and the person/company that you are paying for this service.

I will create a discussion area for Private (paid) iks servers. we recommend that anyone that is thinking of going this way fully investigate which ever server they plan on using. get references if possible and suggest they be very careful on how they pay.

We dont support any private iks service because we dont know how secure they are and we have no way of testing them all.

i will guarantee by August 31, 2010 CNX and VS move all premium content (incl int'ls) to a private pay server. certain economics are in play here, once nfusion came back vs and cnx sales have diminished. server costs are high and no way to support them with lack of sales.

i remember a little over a year ago a certain DVS site tried to ban me when I was one of the first to report that CNX will go the IKS route so let's just say my sources are more credible than most peoples :innocent:

chavers this is a business like everything else and people must do what it takes to survive.
all fta "testing" is touchy as it is, but for stb manufacturers it is still a business. most people who have ever run a business would understand that. its survival of the fittest, why blame cnx for going this route when others have done the same and are selling boxes left and right? :tape:

if on august 31, 2010 vs or cnx have more than 10 channels open on 118 then i will personally ban myself. if they don't then i expect mods here to promote me to mod status :thumbsup:

well you either pay for product to get service or you pay for service to get service, if sales of products are down and you can supply good service, well you know where this goes, makes sense to me.
