Memphis-based website MyEyewitnessNews.com is reporting that Memphis police are investigating the body of a man who was found dead that they believe is former NBA player Lorenzen Wright.
Wright, who was reported missing last week has not been seen since he visited his ex-wife and children in Collierville, Tennessee.
MyEyewitnessNews.com is reporting that a body was discovered in a wooded area in Southeast Mempish. According to the report it appears as though the body had been shot and the wound may well be self-inflected.
A 911 call has reportedly been turned over to Memphis police in connection to this investigation.
The 34-year old Wright last played in the NBA in 2008-09 with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over 13 seasons, the forward also played with the Clippers, Hawks, Grizzlies, and Kings.
